🌟 Monklands Women’s Aid Becomes First in Scotland to Achieve New National Quality Service Standards

Monklands Women’s Aid is proud to announce that we are the first affiliated Women’s Aid service in Scotland to officially receive accreditation through the new National Quality Service Standards (NQSS).

This is a significant and proud milestone for our organisation, recognising the depth, quality, and impact of our work supporting women, children, and young people affected by domestic abuse.

Our CEO, Sharon Aitchison, reflects on the importance of this achievement:

The National Quality Service Standards have been developed by Scottish Women’s Aid to ensure that survivors across Scotland have access to consistent, reliable, compassionate, and high-quality support, no matter where they live or what their circumstances are.

The NQSS offers a robust framework for quality assurance, focusing on the safety, accessibility, and best practices of affiliated Women’s Aid services in supporting survivors of domestic abuse.

This recognition is a tribute to the commitment and hard work of our entire team, and we are honoured to lead the way as the first service in Scotland to meet these rigorous standards.
